Our Technology

Wycombe provides a technology platform for saving resources, time and cost on projects. A web based advanced project collaboration solution enables all parties on a project to share documentation in a controlled environment. Utilising this system provides us with the ability to:

• streamline the design, building, operation and maintenance information flow

• track drawings, variations, progress reports, expenditure, etc

• reduce risks associated with inaccurate information

• reduce administration, printing costs, etc

Virtual building

VB_01At Wycombe ‘virtual building’ is a necessity for the future success of project and construction management, as the industry continues to demand shorter time frames and increased complexity.

The ‘virtual building’ facilitates coordination of architectural, structural and services design. Clash detection software identifies potential discrepancies prior to site works where the risks are higher with respect to time, cost and quality.

The ‘virtual building’ model allows for materials, equipment, labour pricing, risk and margin to be updated or added, leading to an improved scheduling program. The model allows for instant review of the overall project through the central linking of the components so the project team can see, at a glance, the effects and consequences of any change.

Upon completion of the project the client has a comprehensive ‘virtual building’ (2D and 3D) which can be used for the ongoing facilities management and maintenance of the building. The model provides data on all equipment (including date of purchase, supplier, warranty information and service requirements).

This is provided to the client at no additional cost.
